The past 7 Years have been marked with unrest, uncertainty, calamity, and tragedy. Fire, for many people, has been a very real and present threat which has caused many of us to rethink our sense of security and relationship with possessions and
Mother Earth.

When the CZU Lighting Fire roared thru the Santa Cruz Mountains in August of 2020, much was lost. My family was evacuated from Ben Lomond for 17 days and during that time I drew some visions of hope that I had. I created the Phoenix and Redwood Trident images to inspire hope for our community and anyone who has suffered loss from fire.

Proceeds from the reproductions of these images have gone to fire survivor relief funds and forest rehabilitation & stewardship programs.
